ENGINES RADAR

Module Description
ENGINES Radar is an aircraft engine database. It helps users search, filter, and visualise global engine data and host-platform relationships in one place.
ENGINES Radar acts as a granular and mid-level view layer, turning fragmented aircraft engine data into market intelligence to identify opportunities and support related production and commercial strategies.
ENGINES Radar lets users apply unlimited filters across engine, aircraft, geography, and operator attributes to analyse summarised engine counts, host-platform relationships, and visualise regional engine type concentrations across the global fleet.
ENGINES Radar complements ENGINES Insight, which provides a high-level view of the aircraft engine market.
Use Cases:
-
engine MRO providers
-
engine parts production and sales teams
-
leasing and finance teams
-
procurement and supply chain teams
-
OEMs
-
aftermarket parts manufacturers and material integrators
-
airlines and aircraft operators
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I find engine counts by engine family or type?
Yes. ENGINES Radar allows you to view summarised engine counts by engine type, family, manufacturer, and category by expanding or collapsing columns in the Engine Matrix table.
Can I search for the engine serial number (ESN) in this module?
No. Engine serial numbers are not available in this module yet, but we are working to integrate them into the data.
Can I view engine configurations for a given aircraft type?
Yes. You can do this by selecting the relevant aircraft type. The results will also show summarised counts, host-platform details, and operator locations.
Filtering Architecture:
ENGINES Radar lets users apply unlimited filters across engine specifications, aircraft specifications, geography, and operator and market profiles to view granular and summarised engine data across the aircraft engine market.
-
Technical specifications: Search by engine category, manufacturer, family, and type, alongside aircraft category, manufacturer, family, type, model, and status. Refine results by fleet age.
-
Geography: Narrow results by region, sub-region, country, or specific IATA/ICAO hub.
-
Market profile: Filter by airline, airline operating class (i.e. low-cost, full-service, charter, etc.), alliance, and other relevant parameters.
Output & Visualisations
ENGINES Radar transforms complex engine data into an interactive audit and analysis environment for summarised counts, granular engine records, and regional concentration views.
-
Hierarchical engine matrix: Expand a pivot-driven matrix through engine category, manufacturer, family, and engine type to view automated counts for engines attached to airframes currently in service, on order, stored, or parked.
-
Granular engine list: Audit the active fleet row-by-row, cross-referencing individual engine types, aircraft MSNs, and registrations against their specific aircraft model, aircraft age, operator and host-platform status.
-
Geospatial propulsion mapping: Identify regional hotspots via an integrated map visualising the global concentration of specific engine families, fully synchronised with the main filtering architecture.
